Special link configuration

For special use, some parameters must be configured in vqdde32.ini.

The settings may also be modified in VisiQuick if the link is already installed, in menu /Tools/External application settings/Admin link/Admin link configuration, configure.

You should restart your practice management program (and VisiQuick) after changing the link settings.

The following parameters are not available to the 16-bit link driver.

Dual monitors

Since the practice management program is starting VisiQuick by means of the link driver, it has a setting to specify on which monitor VisiQuick should start on:

[StartUp]

MonitorNumber=2

In this example, monitor 2 is the second monitor as defined by Windows.

Multi-database

When VisiQuick is set up to use multiple databases, the database ID (Dentist-ID) is controlled by the practice management program. Should you need to override the Dentist-ID, you can specify the ID to override with:

[VisiQuickDDE]

ForceDentistID=1

Debugging

If the link does not work at all, you can have it display messages telling you what it is doing:

[VisiQuickDDE]
